Hugh Hazelton is a writer, critic, and literary translator who specializes in Hispanic writing in Canada and comparisons between Canadian, Quebec, and Latin American literatures. His translation of Vétiver, by Joël Des Rosiers, won a Governor General's award in 2006. He teaches Spanish translation and Latin American civilization at Concordia University.
